Why choose a handmade product?
A painting encompasses various elements that contribute to its richness and complexity. These include the painterly quality, meticulous research into materials, and the inherent uniqueness of each piece.
When considering a handmade product like a painting, one must understand that it is a work that appreciates in value over time. It is crafted with care, passion, and precision, with a keen focus on delivering a high-quality result.
Choosing a handmade painting is not just selecting a piece of art; it is selecting a piece that embodies artistry, dedication, and attention to detail.
Are these prints?
No, the artworks are not prints or retouched prints, each one is meticulously hand reproduced on canvas. Just like the traditional workshops of the past.
The colors used vary depending on the specific painting, including oil colors, tempera, or acrylics. Every step of the painting process is carefully attended to, from the initial preparatory drawing to the final varnish.
Each artwork comes with its own certificate of authenticity, ensuring that it was executed by Alessandra Salvoni.
I would like to commission a painting
To request a quote from the artist, simply reach out through the contact page, email, or cell phone number ( WhatsApp message ) provided. A response will be given within a couple of workdays, during which the production time of the artwork will be assessed.

If the quote is satisfactory, the artist will ask for confirmation of the order and a 40% advance payment. This payment can be made via bank transfer, PayPal, or Credit/Debit card, depending on the customer's preference.

Throughout the creation process, the customer will receive updates with images of the painting in progress. Any minor modifications can be requested at this point.
Once the painting is finished, the final payment will be requested before shipping the artwork to the customer.
Please note that this website is not an e-commerce platform. We do not have any paintings ready for immediate delivery, but rather operate solely on a commission basis.
The paintings are always meticulously packaged, insured, and shipped using an express courier service. In order to streamline the shipping process, reduce expenses, and prevent damage, oversized canvases will be sent rolled up in a sturdy protective tube instead of stretched on their frame. Rest assured, customers will always be notified of this delivery method.
Completion times
Each painting is custom-made for the client upon commission and is not a resold piece purchased from a third party.

The production times for each painting may vary based on factors such as canvas size, detail complexity, number of subjects, and workload.

Upon the request for a commission, an estimated execution time for the specific painting will be communicated, typically ranging from 30 to 60 days depending on the aforementioned factors.
Changes in progress
Throughout the painting process, with the customer's approval, progress photos can be shared via email to keep them updated. In the early stages, any requested changes or corrections can be accommodated.
Minor changes are always ensured. However, significant or complex modifications may affect the final cost of the project. Any adjustments in price will be promptly communicated before proceeding, and changes will only be made upon confirmation.
Frames
Please be advised that we do not manufacture or sell frames. Any images displayed on our website featuring framed artwork are strictly for illustrative purposes.

Upon receiving your artwork, we suggest visiting a reputable framer to select a frame that complements both your personal style and the aesthetic of your living or work space.
Copyright
We reserve the right to reject orders that include explicit requests to violate copyright laws.
Artistic creations, like original paintings, are considered intellectual property protected by law. The reproduction of copyrighted works is prohibited during the author's lifetime and up to 70 years after their death. Once this period has passed, unless specified otherwise, the work enters the public domain and can be used without restrictions.
If any copyright concerns arise during the ordering process, the customer will be notified promptly.
Portraits: publication on social media
Regarding portraits, only with the client's explicit permission and upon a specific request, will the artwork be published on the website and all associated social media channels.
